Hi all,
I am a graduate student at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. My graduation project is aimed at designing something for alexithymic individuals to improve affective communication with their partner or loved ones. There is a lot of literature available on the intrapersonal nature of alexithymia, but not so much on how people cope with it in relationships.
It would be extremely helpful to me if you were willing to share your experiences, as I would like to understand the dynamics of a relationship between an alexithymic individual and a non-alexithymic individual. Because alexithymia comprises such a large spectrum and individual differences are varied, your personal stories are valuable to me and the outcome of my project. I would like to know how you and your loved one remain committed and satisfied in your relationship, what kind of difficulties you encounter and how you cope with them.
If you would like to be further involved in my project, be it by talking with me about this subject or reviewing my ideas (at a later stage), I would love to hear from you through v.m.tjewasin@student.tudelft.nl.
Kind regards,
Viola
